The microplate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Interleukin 33 (IL33). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microplate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Interleukin 33 (IL33). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then the mixture of substrate A and B is added to generate glow light emission kinetics. IL33 (MIM 608678) is a member of the IL1 (see MIM 147760) family that potently drives production of T helper-2 (Th2)-associated cytokines (e.g., IL4; MIM 147780). IL33 is a ligand for IL33R (IL1RL1; MIM 601203), an IL1 family receptor that is selectively expressed on Th2 cells and mast cells (summary by Yagami et al., 2010 [PubMed 20926795]).[supplied by OMIM, Jan 2011]
