This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-USP15 Antibody, made

Target Description: Ubiquitin (MIM 191339), a highly conserved protein involved in the regulation of intracellular protein breakdown, cell cycle regulation, and stress response, is released from degraded proteins by disassembly of the polyubiquitin chains. The disassembly process is mediated by ubiquitin-specific proteases (USPs). Also see USP1 (MIM 603478).

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the ubiquitin specific protease (USP) family of deubiquitinating enzymes. USP enzymes play critical roles in ubiquitin-dependent processes through polyubiquitin chain disassembly and hydrolysis of ubiquitin-substrate bonds. The encoded protein associates with the COP9 signalosome, and also plays a role in transforming growth factor beta signalling through deubiquitination of receptor-activated SMAD transcription factors. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene, and a pseudogene of this gene is located on the long arm of chromosome 2. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2011]

Uniprot Description

USP15: Protease that degrades 'Lys-48'-linked polyubiquitin chains. Protects target proteins against proteasomal degradation. Protects APC and human papillomavirus type 16 protein E6 against degradation via the ubiquitin proteasome pathway. Belongs to the peptidase C19 family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The USP15 usp15 (Catalog #AAA3239218) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The USP15 Peptide - C-terminal region reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's USP15 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunofluorescence (IF), Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the USP15 usp15 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: GNTDINYIKD DTRHIRFDDR QLRLDERSFL ALDWDPDLKK RYFDENAAED. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "USP15, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
