Uniprot Description

Plus-end-directed motor enzyme that is required for completion of cytokinesis (PubMed:11470801, PubMed:12740395). Required for proper midbody organization and abscission in polarized cortical stem cells. Plays a role in the regulation of neuronal polarization by mediating the transport of specific cargos. Participates in the mobilization of SHTN1 and in the accumulation of PIP3 in the growth cone of primary hippocampal neurons in a tubulin and actin-dependent manner. In the developing telencephalon, cooperates with SHTN1 to promote both the transition from the multipolar to the bipolar stage and the radial migration of cortical neurons from the ventricular zone toward the superficial layer of the neocortex. Involved in cerebral cortex growth (). Acts as an oncogene for promoting bladder cancer cells proliferation, apoptosis inhibition and carcinogenic progression (PubMed:17409436).

Product Notes

The MPHOSPH9 kif20b (Catalog #AAA854020) is an Antibody and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MPHOSPH9 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MPHOSPH9 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:500~1:1000 ELISA: 1:20000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MPHOSPH9 kif20b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MPHOSPH9, Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
