NCBI Description

Bradykinin, a 9 aa peptide, is generated in pathophysiologic conditions such as inflammation, trauma, burns, shock, and allergy. Two types of G-protein coupled receptors have been found which bind bradykinin and mediate responses to these pathophysiologic conditions. The protein encoded by this gene is one of these receptors and is synthesized de novo following tissue injury. Receptor binding leads to an increase in the cytosolic calcium ion concentration, ultimately resulting in chronic and acute inflammatory responses. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2011]

Uniprot Description

This is a receptor for bradykinin. Could be a factor in chronic pain and inflammation.

Product Notes

The BDKRB1 bdkrb1 (Catalog #AAA8509996) is an Antibody and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The BDKRB1 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's BDKRB1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunofluorescence (IF), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:500~1:1000 IF: 1:100~1:500 ELISA: 1:5000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the BDKRB1 bdkrb1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "BDKRB1, Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
