Uniprot Description

Plays a role in protein ubiquitination, sorting and degradation through its association with VCP (PubMed:27753622). Involved in ubiquitin-mediated membrane proteins trafficking to late endosomes in an ESCRT-dependent manner, and hence plays a role in synaptic vesicle recycling (). May play a role in macroautophagy, regulating for instance the clearance of damaged lysosomes (PubMed:27753622). Plays a role in cerebellar Purkinje cell development (). Positively regulates cytosolic and calcium-independent phospholipase A2 activities in a tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-alpha)- or lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-dependent manner, and hence prostaglandin E2 biosynthesis (PubMed:18291623, PubMed:28007986).

Product Notes

The Human PLAA plaa (Catalog #AAA2099151) is an Antibody Pair Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2099151 Antibody Pair Kit recognizes Human PLAA. AAA Biotech's Phospholipase A2 Activating Protein (PLAA) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Chemiluminescence Immunoassays (CLIA), ELISPOT, Luminex. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PLAA plaa for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Phospholipase A2 Activating Protein (PLAA), Antibody Pair Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
