NCBI Description

This antimicrobial gene is one of several chemokine genes clustered on the q-arm of chromosome 17. Chemokines form a superfamily of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The superfamily is divided into four subfamilies based on the arrangement of the N-terminal cysteine residues of the mature peptide. This chemokine, a member of the CC subfamily, is secreted by activated T cells and displays chemotactic activity for monocytes but not for neutrophils. It binds to the chemokine (C-C motif) receptor 8. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2014]

Uniprot Description

CCL1: Cytokine that is chemotactic for monocytes but not for neutrophils. Binds to CCR8. Belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family.

Product Notes

The I309 scya1 (Catalog #AAA539565) is an Active Protein produced from Human and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's I309 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, User optimized. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the I309 scya1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Region of I309 protein correspond ing to amino acids SKSMQVPFSR CCFSFAEQEI PLRAILCYRN TSSICSNEGL IFKLKRGKEA CALDTVGWVQ RHRKMLRHCP SKRK. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "I309, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
