Intended Uses: For the quantitative detection of Pig Glycophorin-A (GYPA) concentration in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate GYPA in Pig serum, plasma, tissue homogenates. An antibody specific for GYPA has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any GYPA present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for GYPA is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of GYPA bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Uniprot Description

Component of the Mediator complex, a coactivator involved in the regulated transcription of nearly all RNA polymerase II-dependent genes. Mediator functions as a bridge to convey information from gene-specific regulatory proteins to the basal RNA polymerase II transcription machinery. The Mediator complex, having a compact conformation in its free form, is recruited to promoters by direct interactions with regulatory proteins and serves for the assembly of a functional preinitiation complex with RNA polymerase II and the general transcription factors ().

Product Notes

The Pig HSP-70 med37d (Catalog #AAA283326) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA283326 ELISA Kit recognizes Pig HSP-70. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Heat Shock Protein 70, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
