Related Product Information for PPARG recombinant protein
PPARG, also known as Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma, is member of the nuclear hormone receptor subfamily of transcription factors. This protein regulates transcription of genes involved in Insulin action, adipocyte differentiation, lipid metabolism and inflammation. It is implicated in numerous diseases including obesity, diabetes, atherosclerosis and cancer. It also activators include prostanoids, fatty acids, thiazolidinediones and N- (2-benzoylphenyl) tyrosine analogues. PPARG may modulate macrophage functions such as proinflammatory activities, and stimulate oxidized low-density lipoprotein (x-LDL) uptake. Recombinant human PPARG protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. Coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) subfamily of nuclear receptors. PPARs form heterodimers with retinoid X receptors (RXRs) and these heterodimers regulate transcription of various genes. Three subtypes of PPARs are known: PPAR-alpha, PPAR-delta, and PPAR-gamma. The protein encoded by this gene is PPAR-gamma and is a regulator of adipocyte differentiation. Additionally, PPAR-gamma has been implicated in the pathology of numerous diseases including obesity, diabetes, atherosclerosis and cancer. Alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode different isoforms have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Nuclear receptor that binds peroxisome proliferators such as hypolipidemic drugs and fatty acids. Once activated by a ligand, the nuclear receptor binds to DNA specific PPAR response elements (PPRE) and modulates the transcription of its target genes, such as acyl-CoA oxidase. It therefore controls the peroxisomal beta-oxidation pathway of fatty acids. Key regulator of adipocyte differentiation and glucose homeostasis. ARF6 acts as a key regulator of the tissue-specific adipocyte P2 (aP2) enhancer. Acts as a critical regulator of gut homeostasis by suppressing NF-kappa-B-mediated proinflammatory responses. Plays a role in the regulation of cardiovascular circadian rhythms by regulating the transcription of ARNTL/BMAL1 in the blood vessels ().

Product Notes

The PPARG pparg (Catalog #AAA203469) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The tag for this protein is His-tag. AAA Biotech's PPARG can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PPARG pparg for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MGSSHHHHHH SSGLVPRGSH MADLRALAKH LYDSYIKSFP LTKAKARAIL TGKTTDKSPF VIYDMNSLMM GEDKIKFKHI TPLQEQSKEV AIRIFQGCQF RSVEAVQEIT EYAKSIPGFV NLDLNDQVTL LKYGVHEIIY TMLASLMNKD GVLISEGQGF MTREFLKSLR KPFGDFMEPK FEFAVKFNAL ELDDSDLAIF IAVIILSGDR PGLLNVKPIE DIQDNLLQAL ELQLKLNHPE SSQLFAKLLQ KMTDLRQIVT EHVQLLQVIK KTETDMSLHP LLQEIYKDLY. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PPARG, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
