Mouse Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein K ELISA Kit
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a component of the heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein (hnRNP) complex, and is a poly-cytosine binding protein (PCBP). It is found in multiple subcellular compartments including the nucleus, cytoplasm and mitochondria. This gene product is thought to interact with RNA, DNA, and protein, and is involved in multiple cellular processes, including transcription, chromatin remodeling, DNA damage response, signal transduction, mRNA splicing, export, and translation. Multiple transcript variants and protein isoforms exist, with some isoforms containing a unique C-terminus. There are four pseudogenes of this gene, found on chromosomes 2, 3, 7 and 13. Uniprot Description
hnRNP K: a heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein (hnRNP). One of the major pre-mRNA-binding proteins. Binds tenaciously to poly(C) sequences. Likely to play a role in the nuclear metabolism of hnRNAs, particularly for pre-mRNAs that contain cytidine-rich sequences. Can also bind poly(C) single-stranded DNA. Two alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.

Product Notes
The Mouse Hnrnpk hnrnpk (Catalog #AAA2886148) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2886148 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse Hnrnpk. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein K, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
