Related Product Information for OPN active protein
Osteopontin, also known as SPP1, is major non-collagenous bone protein that binds tightly to hydroxyapatite. This protein appears to form an integral part of the mineralized matrix. It inhibits bone mineralization and kidney stone formation, and promotes inflammation and cell ad-hesion and migration. Osteopontin acts as a cytokine involved in enhancing production of interferon-gamma and interleukin-12 and reducing production of interleukin-10. Also it is essential in the pathway that leads to type 1 immunity. It is expressed and secreted by various cells, and has a role in cell adhesion, chemotaxis, prevention of apoptosis, invasion, migration and anchorage-independent growth of tumor cells. Recombinant mouse Osteopontin, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in HEK293 cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

Product Notes

The OPN spp1 (Catalog #AAA201365) is an Active Protein produced from HEK293 and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 17-294aa. AAA Biotech's Osteopontin/OPN can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE, Bioactivity. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the OPN spp1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: LPVKV TD SGSSEEKLYS LHPDPIATWL VPDPSQKQNL LAPQNAVSSE EKDDFKQETL PSNSNESHDH MDDDDDDDDD DGDHAESEDS VDSDESDESH HSDESDETVT ASTQADTFTP IVPTVDVPNG RGDSLAYGLR SKSRSFQVSD EQYPDATDED LTSHMKSGES KESLDVIPVA QLLSMPSDQD NNGKGSHESS QLDEPSLETH RLEHSKESQE SADQSDVIDS QASSKASLEH QSHKFHSHKD KLVLDPKSKE DDRYLKFRIS HELESSSSEV N. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Osteopontin/OPN, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
