Uniprot Description

G-alpha(o): Guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) are involved as modulators or transducers in various transmembrane signaling systems. The G(o) protein function is not clear. Stimulated by RGS14. Interacts with RGS14. G proteins are composed of 3 units; alpha, beta and gamma. The alpha chain contains the guanine nucleotide binding site. Belongs to the G-alpha family. G(i/o/t/z) subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: G protein; G protein, heterotrimeric; G protein, heterotrimeric alpha G((i/o/t/z))

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 8 C5|8 45.94 cM

Cellular Component: dendrite; heterotrimeric G-protein complex; membrane; myelin sheath; neuron projection; protein complex

Molecular Function: corticotropin-releasing hormone receptor 1 binding; G-protein beta/gamma-subunit binding; GTP binding; GTPase activating protein binding; GTPase activity; metabotropic serotonin receptor binding; mu-type opioid receptor binding; protein binding; protein complex binding; signal transducer activity

Product Notes

The GNAO gnao1 (Catalog #AAA9420279) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is Full Length, 2-354aa. The Recombinant mouse Guanine nucleotide-binding protein G (o) subunit alpha reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Guanine nucleotide-binding protein G (o) subunit alpha, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
