General PGE1 ELISA Kit | PGE1 elisa kit
PGE1 (Prostaglandin E1) ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Competitive-ELISA as the method. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with PGE1. During the reaction, PGE1 in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of PGE1 on the solid phase supporter for sites on the Biotinylated Detection Ab specific to PGE1. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed from the plate, and Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then a TMB substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The concentration of PGE1 in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The product of this gene belongs to the family of G-protein coupled receptors. This family has several receptor subtypes with different pharmacological selectivity, which overlaps in some cases, for various adenosine and uridine nucleotides. This receptor is involved in platelet aggregation, and is a potential target for the treatment of thromboembolisms and other clotting disorders. Mutations in this gene are implicated in bleeding disorder, platelet type 8 (BDPLT8). Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants of this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2013]
Uniprot Description
P2Y12: Receptor for ADP and ATP coupled to G-proteins that inhibit the adenylyl cyclase second messenger system. Not activated by UDP and UTP. Involved in platelets aggregation. Defects in P2RY12 are the cause of bleeding disorder platelet-type 8 (BDPLT8). A condition characterized by mild to moderate mucocutaneous bleeding, and excessive bleeding after surgery or trauma. The defect is due to severe impairment of platelet response to ADP resulting in defective platelet aggregation. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.

Product Notes
The General PGE1 p2ry12 (Catalog #AAA2506611) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2506611 ELISA Kit recognizes General PGE1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PGE1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
