Human Galanin ELISA Kit | GAL elisa kit

Human Galanin ELISA Kit

Gene Names
GAL; GALN; GLNN; GMAP; GAL-GMAP
Reactivity
Human
Synonyms
Galanin; Human Galanin ELISA Kit; GAL elisa kit
Ordering
For Research Use Only!
Reactivity
Human
Specificity
This kit recognizes recombinant and natural Human GAL, no significant cross-reactivity or interference was observed.
Samples
Serum, Plasma, Tissue Homogenate, Feces, Urine and Body Fluids
Detection Range
15.6 - 500 pg/ml.
Sensitivity
2.0 pg/ml.
Intended Uses
This ELISA kit is intended for laboratory in vitro research use only, not for drug, household or other use! The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm by a spectrophotometer. In order to measure the concentration of Human GAL in the sample, this ELISA kit includes a set of calibration standards. The calibration standards are assayed at the same time as the samples and allow the operator to produce a standard curve of Optical Density versus Human GAL concentration. The concentration of Human GAL in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
Intra-assay Precision
Intra-assay CV (%) are less than 15%.
Inter-assay Precision
Inter-assay CV (%) are less than 15%.
Preparation and Storage
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C

Related Product Information for GAL elisa kit
Introduction: ELISA is a simple and highly sensitive method of analysis that allows for simultaneous and rapid quantification of a large number of samples. The assay is based on the specific recognition of the target compound (analyte/antigen) by antibodies which bind to the compound. The antigen-antibody complex is detected and measured with the aid of an enzyme-labeled antibody or antigen. Upon addition of a non-colored reagent, the enzyme produces a color reaction where the color intensity is directly or inversely proportional to the concentration of the analyte in the sample.

NCBI Description

Galanin is small neuropeptide that functions as a cellular messenger within the central and peripheral nervous systems, modulating diverse physiologic functions (Mechenthaler, 2008 [PubMed 18500643]).[supplied by OMIM, Jan 2009]

Uniprot Description

Galanin: Contracts smooth muscle of the gastrointestinal and genitourinary tract, regulates growth hormone release, modulates insulin release, and may be involved in the control of adrenal secretion. Belongs to the galanin family.

Protein type: Secreted, signal peptide; Secreted

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 11q13.3

Product Notes

The Human GAL gal (Catalog #AAA022636) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA022636 ELISA Kit recognizes Human GAL. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Galanin, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
