Canine Follicle Stimulating Hormone ELISA Kit | FSH elisa kit

Canine Follicle Stimulating Hormone ELISA Kit

Reactivity
Canine
Synonyms
Follicle Stimulating Hormone; Canine Follicle Stimulating Hormone ELISA Kit; FSH elisa kit
Ordering
For Research Use Only!
Reactivity
Canine
Specificity
No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Canine FSH and analogues was observed.
Samples
Serum, Plasma, Tissue Homogenate, Feces, Urine and Body Fluids
Assay Type
Sandwich
Detection Range
0.625 mIU/ml - 20 mIU/ml.
Sensitivity
0.1 mIU/ml.
Intended Uses
This Quantitative Sandwich ELISA kit is only for in vitro research use only, not for drug, household, therapeutic applications! It is intended to be determinated FSH concentrations in Canine serum, plasma and other body fluids. Using Purified Canine FSH antibody to coat Microelisa Stripplate wells to make solid-phase antibody, then add FSH and FSH antibody which has been labeled with HRP to wells, then the reactants become antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex, after washing completely, add TMB substrate solution, TMB substrate becomes blue color under HRP enzyme-catalyzed, reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of FSH in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
Intra-assay Precision
Intra-assay CV (%) is less than 15%.
Inter-assay Precision
Inter-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. [CV(%) = SD/mean ×100]
Preparation and Storage
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C

NCBI Description

The pituitary glycoprotein hormone family includes follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, chorionic gonadotropin, and thyroid-stimulating hormone. All of these glycoproteins consist of an identical alpha subunit and a hormone-specific beta subunit. This gene encodes the beta subunit of follicle-stimulating hormone. In conjunction with luteinizing hormone, follicle-stimulating hormone induces egg and sperm production. Alternative splicing results in two transcript variants encoding the same protein. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

FSHB: Stimulates development of follicle and spermatogenesis in the reproductive organs. Defects in FSHB are a cause of isolated follicle- stimulating hormone deficiency (IFSHD). Selective follicle-stimulating hormone deficiency is an uncommon cause of infertility, producing amenorrhea and hypogonadism in women and oligo or azoospermia with normal testosterone levels in normally virilised men. Belongs to the glycoprotein hormones subunit beta family.

Product Notes

The Canine FSH fshb (Catalog #AAA046790) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA046790 ELISA Kit recognizes Canine FSH. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Follicle Stimulating Hormone, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
