Intended Uses: This immunoassay kit allows for the in vitro quantitative determination of pig tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 6,TNR6 concentrations in serum, Plasma, tissue homogenates and Cell culture supernates and Other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay||The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to TNR6. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated polyclonal antibody preparation specific for TNR6 and Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then a TMB substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain TNR6, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The concentration of TNR6 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

Uniprot Description

Receptor for TNFSF6/FASLG. The adapter molecule FADD recruits caspase-8 to the activated receptor. The resulting death-inducing signaling complex (DISC) performs caspase-8 proteolytic activation which initiates the subsequent cascade of caspases (aspartate-specific cysteine proteases) mediating apoptosis. FAS-mediated apoptosis may have a role in the induction of peripheral tolerance, in the antigen-stimulated suicide of mature T-cells, or both ().

Product Notes

The Pig FAS fas (Catalog #AAA2881183) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2881183 ELISA Kit recognizes Pig FAS. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 6, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
