Principle of the Assay||This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. anti-Human FAF2 antibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated anti-Human FAF2 antibody was used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently, and wash with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the Human FAF2 amount of sample captured in plate. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration ofHuman FAF2 can be calculated.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is highly expressed in peripheral blood of patients with atopic dermatitis (AD), compared to normal individuals. It may play a role in regulating the resistance to apoptosis that is observed in T cells and eosinophils of AD patients. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

ETEA: May play a role in the translocation of terminally misfolded proteins from the endoplasmic reticulum lumen to the cytoplasm and their degradation by the proteasome.

Protein type: Ubiquitin conjugating system

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 5q35.2

Cellular Component: endoplasmic reticulum; lipid particle

Molecular Function: lipase inhibitor activity; protein binding; ubiquitin binding; ubiquitin protein ligase binding

Biological Process: ER-associated protein catabolic process; negative regulation of catalytic activity; response to unfolded protein; retrograde protein transport, ER to cytosol

Product Notes

The Human FAF2 faf2 (Catalog #AAA764708) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA764708 ELISA Kit recognizes Human FAF2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FAS-associated factor 2, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
