Human Fatty-acid amide hydrolase ELISA Kit | FAAH elisa kit
Human FAAH (Fatty-acid amide hydrolase) ELISA kit
Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated withan antibody specific to Human F8. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with thespecific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human F8 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase(HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. Thesubstrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human F8, biotinylated detection antibody andAvidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stopsolution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Human F8. You can calculate the concentration ofHuman F8 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a protein that is responsible for the hydrolysis of a number of primary and secondary fatty acid amides, including the neuromodulatory compounds anandamide and oleamide. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
FAAH: Degrades bioactive fatty acid amides like oleamide, the endogenous cannabinoid, anandamide and myristic amide to their corresponding acids, thereby serving to terminate the signaling functions of these molecules. Hydrolyzes polyunsaturated substrate anandamide preferentially as compared to monounsaturated substrates. Homodimer. Highly expressed in the brain, small intestine, pancreas, skeletal muscle and testis. Also expressed in the kidney, liver, lung, placenta and prostate. Inhibited by O-aryl carbamates and alpha-keto heterocytes. Belongs to the amidase family.

Product Notes
The Human FAAH faah (Catalog #AAA2533409) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2533409 ELISA Kit recognizes Human FAAH. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Fatty-acid amide hydrolase, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
