Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate of the targetprotein. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation andprecipitation were observed. (Referring from China Biological Products Standard, which was calculated by the Arrhenius equation.) The loss of this protein is lessthan 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Uniprot Description
HER2: a proto-oncogenic receptor tyrosine kinase of the EGFR family. Essential component of a neuregulin-receptor complex, although neuregulins do not interact with it alone. Not activated by EGF, TGF- alpha and amphiregulin. Amplified in breast cancer. Overexpression induces constitutive activity, and the gene is amplified or overexpressed in up to 30% of breast cancers, correlating with poor survival. The antibody Herceptin is approved for treatment of metastatic breast cancer with HER2 amplification/overexpression. Somatic mutations seen in 4% of lung cancers and also in breast, gastric, ovarian cancer and glioblastoma. One SNP shows predisposition to breast and gastric cancer. Inhibitors: Herceptin, lapatinib, PKI-166, EKB-569, CI-1033.

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (EGFR2), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
