EPHA1 is a member of the EpHfamily of receptor tyrosine kinases that have been implicated in mediating developmental events, particularly in the nervous system (1). Receptors in the EpHsubfamily typically have a single kinase domain and an extracellular region containing a Cys-rich domain and 2 fibronectin type III repeats. EPHA1 seems to be a marker of the differentiated normal epidermis and its downregulation in nonmelanoma skin cancer may contribute to carcinogenesis of these very frequent human tumors. EPHA1 represents a new potential prognostic marker and therapeutic target in nonmelanoma skin cancer (2).

Product Notes
The EPHA1 (Catalog #AAA516905) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Sf9 insect cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's EPHA1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Kinase Assay, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the EPHA1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "EPHA1, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
