Related Product Information for Chitinase, Trichoderma viride enzyme
The chitinolytic enzymes from T. viride are a mixture of extracellular chitinolytic enzymes, which exhibit exo and endochitinase activities including N-acetyl- -glucosaminidase and chitobiosidase.

Chitinases are digestive enzymes that break down glycosidic bonds in chitin. Because chitin composes the cell walls of fungi and exoskeletal elements of some animals (including worms and arthropods), chitinases are generally found in organisms that either need to reshape their own chitin or to dissolve and digest the chitin of fungi or animals.

Product Notes

The Chitinase, Trichoderma viride (Catalog #AAA653950) is an Enzyme and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Chitinase, Trichoderma viride, Enzyme" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
