NCBI Description

This gene encodes one of the three enolase isoenzymes found in mammals. This isoenzyme, a homodimer, is found in mature neurons and cells of neuronal origin. A switch from alpha enolase to gamma enolase occurs in neural tissue during development in rats and primates. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

ENO2: an enzyme with 2-phospho-D-glycerate hydro-lyase activity. One of the three enolase isoenzymes found in mammals. This isoenzyme, a homodimer, is found in mature neurons and cells of neuronal origin. A switch from alpha enolase to gamma enolase occurs in neural tissue during development in rats and primates.

Product Notes

The ENO2 eno2 (Catalog #AAA5304110) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Human and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Gamma enolase can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), SDS-PAGE, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ENO2 eno2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Gamma enolase, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
