Related Product Information for EEF1E1 recombinant protein
Background: EEF1E1, also known as AIMP3 and p18, is a multifunctional protein that localizes to both the cytoplasm and nucleus. In the cytoplasm, EEF1E1 is an auxiliary component of the macromolecular aminoacyl-tRNA synthase complex. It is comprised of a bifunctional glutamyl-prolyl-tRNA synthase, the monospecific isoleucyl, leucyl, glutaminyl, methionyl, lysyl, arginyl and aspartyl-tRNA synthases, and three auxiliary proteins, EEF1E1/p18, AIMP2/p38 and AIMP1/p43. EEF1E1 also plays a positive role in ATM/ATR-mediated p53 activation.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a multifunctional protein that localizes to both the cytoplasm and nucleus. In the cytoplasm, the encoded protein is an auxiliary component of the macromolecular aminoacyl-tRNA synthase complex. However, its mouse homolog has been shown to translocate to the nucleus in response to DNA damage, and it plays a positive role in ATM/ATR-mediated p53 activation. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Read-through transcription also exists between this gene and the neighboring downstream MUTED (muted homolog) gene. An EEF1E1-related pseudogene has been identified on chromosome 2. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2010]

Product Notes

The EEF1E1 eef1e1 (Catalog #AAA8121608) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Met1-His17 4. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "EEF1E1, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
