Solubility
It is recommended to quick spin followed by reconstitution of IL1F10 in PBS to a concentration no less than 100 ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Biological Activity
As measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA, immobilized IL1F10 at 1 ug/ml (100 ul/well) can bind rHuIL-1 Rrp2/Fc Chimera with a linear range of 0.15- 5 ug/ml.
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized IL1F10 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18 degree C. Upon reconstitution IL1F10 should be stored at 4 degree C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18 degree C.Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Related Product Information for IL1F10 active protein
Description: IL1F10 Human Recombinant produced in E Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, Polypeptide chain containing 152 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 17kDa.The IL1F10 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Introduction: Human interleukin family 1, member 10 (IL1F10) belongs to the interleukin 1 cytokine family. IL1F10 is expressed in the fetal skin, spleen and tonsil, generally in the basal epithelia of skin and in proliferating B-cells of the tonsil. IL1F10 binds soluble IL1 receptor type 1 and may be implicated in the regulation of adapted and innate immune responses.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the interleukin 1 cytokine family. This gene and eight other interleukin 1 family genes form a cytokine gene cluster on chromosome 2. This cytokine is thought to participate in a network of interleukin 1 family members to regulate adapted and innate immune responses. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been reported. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

IL1F10: Binds soluble IL-1 receptor type 1. Belongs to the IL-1 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Cytokine

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q13

Cellular Component: extracellular space

Molecular Function: interleukin-1 receptor binding; cytokine activity

Biological Process: cytokine and chemokine mediated signaling pathway

Product Notes

The IL1F10 il1f10 (Catalog #AAA144603) is an Active Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined and was found to be Met-Cys-Se r-Leu-Pro. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Interleukin 1 Family, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
