Related Product Information for uDP active protein
uridine phosphorypase (uDP) catalyzes the reversible phosphorylytic cleavage of uridine and deoxyuridine to uracil and ribose- or deoxyribose-1-phosphate. The produced molecules are then utilized as carbon and energy sources or in the rescue of pyrimidine bases for nucleotide synthesis. This enzyme belongs to the family of glycosyltransferases, specifically the pentosyltransferases. The systematic name of this enzyme class is uridine:phosphate alpha-D-ribosyltransferase. Other names in common use include pyrimidine phosphorylase, urdPase, uPH, and uPase. Recombinant E Coli uDP protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E Coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

Product Notes

The uDP udp (Catalog #AAA203674) is an Active Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The tag for this protein is His-tag. AAA Biotech's uDP can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the uDP udp for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MGSSHHHHHH SSGLVPRGSH MSKSDVFHLG LTKNDLQGAT LAIVPGDPDR VEKIAALMDK PVKLASHREF TTWRAELDGK PVIVCSTGIG GPSTSIAVEE LAQLGIRTFL RIGTTGAIQP HINVGDVLVT TASVRLDGAS LHFAPLEFPA VADFECTTAL VEAAKSIGAT THVGVTASSD TFYPGQERYD TYSGRVVRHF KGSMEEWQAM GVMNYEMESA TLLTMCASQG LRAGMVAGVI VNRTQQEIPN AETMKQTESH AVKIVVEAAR RLL. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "uDP, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
