Host
E Coli
Purity/Purification
>95% as determined by SDS-PAGE
Form/Format
Lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered 20 mM PB, 100 mM NaCl solution pH 7.5.
Sequence Length
120
Bioactivity
Determined by its ability to chemoattract human T cells using a concentration range of 2-40 ng/mL.
Endotoxin Level
<1.0 EU/ug of recombinant protein as determined by the LAL method.
Reconstitution
A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.
Preparation and Storage
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at-70 degree C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2-8 degree C for one month, or at-20 degree C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Related Product Information for MIP-3 active protein
CCL23 (MPIF-1, CK8, SCYA23), a member of the CC chemokine family, was originally isolated from a human aortic endothelial cell library and from the human monocytic cell line THP-1. It is most closely related to MIP-1 and interacts with its receptor CCR1, which is expressed on monocytes, dendritic cells, lymphocytes, and endothelial cells. Functionally, CCL23 has chemotactic activity for monocytes, DC, lymphocytes, neutrophils, osteoclast precursor cells, and endothelial cells.

NCBI Description

This gene is one of several chemokine genes clustered on the q-arm of chromosome 17. Chemokines form a superfamily of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The superfamily is divided into four subfamilies based on the arrangement of the N-terminal cysteine residues of the mature peptide. This chemokine, a member of the CC subfamily, displays chemotactic activity on resting T lymphocytes and monocytes, lower activity on neutrophils and no activity on activated T lymphocytes. The protein is also a strong suppressor of colony formation by a multipotential hematopoietic progenitor cell line. In addition, the product of this gene is a potent agonist of the chemokine (C-C motif) receptor 1. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants that encode different isoforms. Product Notes

The MIP-3 ccl23 (Catalog #AAA4159696) is an Active Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MIP-3 (CCL23), Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
