Related Product Information for LDHA active protein
Background: LDHA (Lactate Dehydrogenase A) is a Protein Coding gene. The protein encoded by this gene catalyzes the conversion of L-lactate and NAD to pyruvate and NADH in the final step of anaerobic glycolysis. LDHA, a key enzyme regulating aerobic glycolysis, belongs to the lactate dehydrogenase family and is overexpressed in many human cancers, and correlates with poor clinical outcomes. LDHA can promote the Warburg effect to produce lactate and Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) in aerobic conditions, which contributes to oncogenesis metastasis and drug resistance in various cancers. Up-regulation of lactate dehydrogenase LDHA is a frequent event in human malignancies and relate to poor postoperative outcome. Diseases associated with LDHA include Fanconi-Bickel Syndrome and Myoglobinuria.

Product Notes

The LDHA ldha (Catalog #AAA8123490) is an Active Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Met1-Phe33 2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "LDHA, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
