DPP10 / DPRP3 recombinant protein
Recombinant Human DPP10 / DPRP3 Protein (His tag)
Description: A DNA sequence encoding the human DPP10 isoform 1 (Q8N608-1) extracellular domain (Leu 56-Glu 796) was expressed, with a polyhistidine tag at the N-terminus.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a single-pass type II membrane protein that is a member of the S9B family in clan SC of the serine proteases. This protein has no detectable protease activity, most likely due to the absence of the conserved serine residue normally present in the catalytic domain of serine proteases. However, it does bind specific voltage-gated potassium channels and alters their expression and biophysical properties. Mutations in this gene have been associated with asthma. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
Promotes cell surface expression of the potassium channel KCND2 (PubMed:15454437). Modulates the activity and gating characteristics of the potassium channel KCND2 (PubMed:15454437). Has no dipeptidyl aminopeptidase activity (PubMed:12662155).

Product Notes
The DPP10 / DPRP3 dpp10 (Catalog #AAA2545672) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Human Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The recombinant human DPP10 consists of 760 amino acids and has a calculated molecular mass of 87.4 kDa. In SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, the apparent molecular mass of rhDPP10 is approximately 90-110 kDa due to glycosylation. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DPP10 / DPRP3 dpp10 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DPP10 / DPRP3, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
