Related Product Information for DERA recombinant protein
Description: DERA produced in E Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 338 amino acids (1-318 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 37.3kDa.DERA is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Introduction: Deoxyribose-phosphate aldolase (DERA) is a member of the deoC/fbaB aldolase protein family involved in the carbohydrate degradation pathway. DERA catalyzes the conversion of 2-deoxy-D-ribose 5-phosphate to D-glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate and an acetyldehyde.

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Deoxyribose-Phosphate Aldolase, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
