Related Product Information for Cox4i2 recombinant protein
Cytochrome c oxidase (COX), the terminal enzyme of the mitochondrial respiratory chain, catalyzes the electron transfer from reduced cytochrome c to oxygen. It is a heteromeric complex consisting of 3 catalytic subunits encoded by mitochondrial genes and multiple structural subunits encoded by nuclear genes. The mitochondrially-encoded subunits function in electron transfer, and the nuclear-encoded subunits may be involved in the regulation and assembly of the complex. This nuclear gene encodes isoform 2 of subunit IV. Isoform 1 of subunit IV is encoded by a different gene, however, the two genes show a similar structural organization. Subunit IV is the largest nuclear encoded subunit which plays a pivotal role in COX regulation.

Product Notes

The Cox4i2 cox4i2 (Catalog #AAA1297501) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli or Yeast or Baculovirus or Mammalian Cell and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 1-105, intracellular domain. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MFSRAARSLV MRTGLRTRGT GTHSPGDAAG SQRRMTPYVD CYAQRSYPMP DEPFCTELSE EQRALKEKEK GSWTQLSQAE KVALYRLQFH ETFAEMNHRS NEWKT . It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Cytochrome c oxidase subunit 4 isoform 2, mitochondrial (Cox4i2), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
