• Application Notes: Recombinant WNT3A migrates as an approximately 37 kDa protein due to glycosylation under reducing conditions in SDS-PAGE.

• Source Note: Optimized DNA sequence encoding Mouse WNT3A mature chain including a C-terminal 6xHis tag was expressed in CHO. Recombinant Mouse Protein Wnt-3a encodes amino acid residues 19-352.
• Biological Activity: Determined by its ability to induced alkaline phosphatase production by CCL-226 cells. The expected ED50 for this effect is 0.4-0.6 ng/ml.
• Endotoxin: Endotoxin content was assayed using a LAL gel clot method. Endotoxin level was found to be less than 0.1 ng/ug(1EU/ug).
• Reconstitution: A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.
• Preparation and Storage: The lyophilized protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20 degree C. Upon reconstitution, this product can be stored in working aliquots at 2 degree C - 8 degree C for one month, or at -20 degree C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

NCBI Description

The WNT gene family consists of structurally related genes which encode secreted signaling proteins. These proteins have been implicated in oncogenesis and in several developmental processes, including regulation of cell fate and patterning during embryogenesis. This gene is a member of the WNT gene family. It encodes a protein which shows 96% amino acid identity to mouse Wnt3A protein, and 84% to human WNT3 protein, another WNT gene product. This gene is clustered with WNT14 gene, another family member, in chromosome 1q42 region. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
