Chicken MYH9 ELISA Kit | MYH9 elisa kit
Chicken MYH9 (Myosin Heavy Chain 9, Non Muscle) ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to MYH9. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for MYH9 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain MYH9, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of MYH9. You can calculate the concentration of MYH9 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a conventional non-muscle myosin; this protein should not be confused with the unconventional myosin-9a or 9b (MYO9A or MYO9B). The encoded protein is a myosin IIA heavy chain that contains an IQ domain and a myosin head-like domain which is involved in several important functions, including cytokinesis, cell motility and maintenance of cell shape. Defects in this gene have been associated with non-syndromic sensorineural deafness autosomal dominant type 17, Epstein syndrome, Alport syndrome with macrothrombocytopenia, Sebastian syndrome, Fechtner syndrome and macrothrombocytopenia with progressive sensorineural deafness. Uniprot Description
MYH9: Cellular myosin that appears to play a role in cytokinesis, cell shape, and specialized functions such as secretion and capping. Interacts with PDLIM2. Interacts with SLC6A4. Myosin is a hexameric protein that consists of 2 heavy chain subunits (MHC), 2 alkali light chain subunits (MLC) and 2 regulatory light chain subunits (MLC-2). Interacts with RASIP1. Interacts with DDR1. Interacts with SVIL and HTRA3. In the kidney, expressed in the glomeruli. Also expressed in leukocytes. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The Chicken MYH9 myh9 (Catalog #AAA2514670) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2514670 ELISA Kit recognizes Chicken MYH9. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MYH9, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
