Related Product Information for CARD11 elisa kit
Principle of the assay: CARD-11 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-CARD-11 antibody and an CARD-11-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with CARD-11-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the CARD-11 concentration since CARD-11 from samples and CARD-11-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-CARD-11 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by CARD-11 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind CARD-11-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The CARD-11 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the membrane-associated guanylate kinase (MAGUK) family, a class of proteins that functions as molecular scaffolds for the assembly of multiprotein complexes at specialized regions of the plasma membrane. This protein is also a member of the CARD protein family, which is defined by carrying a characteristic caspase-associated recruitment domain (CARD). This protein has a domain structure similar to that of CARD14 protein. The CARD domains of both proteins have been shown to specifically interact with BCL10, a protein known to function as a positive regulator of cell apoptosis and NF-kappaB activation. When expressed in cells, this protein activated NF-kappaB and induced the phosphorylation of BCL10. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

CARD11: a CARD (caspase recruitment domain) protein that belongs to the membrane-associated guanylate kinase (MAGUK) family. MAGUK proteins function as molecular scaffolds for the assembly of multiprotein complexes at specialized regions of the plasma membrane. Contains an N-terminal CARD domain, a central coiled-coil domain, and a C-terminal region containing a PDZ, an SH3, and a GUK. Its CARD domain associates with the CARD domain of BCL10. BCL10 activates NF-kappaB through the IkappaB kinase complex in response to upstream stimuli. Apparently activates NF-kappaB and induce the phosphorylation of BCL10. Detected in adult peripheral blood leukocytes, thymus, spleen and liver. Also found in promyelocytic leukemia HL-60 cells, chronic myelogenous leukemia K562 cells, Burkitt's lymphoma Raji cells and colorectal adenocarcinoma SW480 cells.

Product Notes

The Chicken CARD11 card11 (Catalog #AAA7238059) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7238059 ELISA Kit recognizes Chicken CARD11. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Caspase recruitment domain-containing protein 11 (CARD11), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
