CD34 recombinant protein

Human CD34 Recombinant

Purity
>95%, as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC
Synonyms
CD34; Human CD34 Recombinant; CD-34; CD34 recombinant protein
Ordering
For Research Use Only!
Host
HEk293 Cells
Purity/Purification
>95%, as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC
Form/Format
Recombinant CD34 is supplied as a 0.2 um filtered PBS solution, pH7.2.
Sequence Length
385
Host Note
Optimized DNA sequence encoding Human extracellular domain of human CD34 including a C-terminal 6His tag was expressed in HEK293 cells.
Endotoxin
Endotoxin content was assayed using a LAL gel clot method.
Endotoxin level was found to be less than 0.1 ng/ug (1EU/ug).
Reconstitution
A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers
Molecular Weight Note
Recombinant CD34 is a monomer protein consisting of 270 amino acid residue subunits, due to glycosylation migrates as an approximately 50 kDa protein on SDS-PAGE.
Preparation and Storage
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20 degree C.
Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2 degree - 8 degree C for one month, or at -20 degree C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity.

Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Related Product Information for CD34 recombinant protein
CD34 is a transmembrane glycoprotein expressed by human hematopoietic progenitor cells of lymphoid and myeloid lineage, and various types of colony-forming activity in human bone marrow (BM), cord blood (CB), and mobilized peripheral blood (PB) are contained in the CD34+ population. It has been suggested that CD34 also defines a normally occurring population of dendritic cells within the endoneurium of peripheral nerves that is distinct from fibroblasts and conventional Schwann cells

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene may play a role in the attachment of stem cells to the bone marrow extracellular matrix or to stromal cells. This single-pass membrane protein is highly glycosylated and phosphorylated by protein kinase C. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2011]

Uniprot Description

CD34: Possible adhesion molecule with a role in early hematopoiesis by mediating the attachment of stem cells to the bone marrow extracellular matrix or directly to stromal cells. Could act as a scaffold for the attachment of lineage specific glycans, allowing stem cells to bind to lectins expressed by stromal cells or other marrow components. Presents carbohydrate ligands to selectins. Selectively expressed on hematopoietic progenitor cells and the small vessel endothelium of a variety of tissues. Belongs to the CD34 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The CD34 cd34 (Catalog #AAA553065) is a Recombinant Protein produced from HEk293 Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD34, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
