INTENDED USE This CD30L ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Canine CD30L. This ELISA kit for research use only! br>
PRINCIPLE OF THE ASSAY CD30L ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-CD30L antibody and an CD30L-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with CD30L-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the CD30L concentration since CD30L from samples and CD30L-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-CD30L antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by CD30L from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind CD30L-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The CD30L concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. This cytokine is a ligand for TNFRSF8/CD30, which is a cell surface antigen and a marker for Hodgkin lymphoma and related hematologic malignancies. The engagement of this cytokine expressed on B cell surface plays an inhibitory role in modulating Ig class switch. This cytokine was shown to enhance cell proliferation of some lymphoma cell lines, while to induce cell death and reduce cell proliferation of other lymphoma cell lines. The pleiotropic biologic activities of this cytokine on different CD30+ lymphoma cell lines may play a pathophysiologic role in Hodgkin's and some non-Hodgkin's lymphomas. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2011]

Product Notes

The Canine CD30L tnfsf8 (Catalog #AAA737774) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA737774 ELISA Kit recognizes Canine CD30L. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD30 Ligand, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
