Related Product Information for CCNK recombinant protein
This protein is a member of the transcription cyclin family. These cyclins may regulate transcription through their association with and activation of cyclin-dependent kinases (CDK) that phosphorylate the C-terminal domain (CTD) of the large subunit of RNA polymerase II. This gene product may play a dual role in regulating CDK and RNA polymerase II activities.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the transcription cyclin family. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Regulatory subunit of cyclin-dependent kinases that mediates activation of target kinases. Plays a role in transcriptional regulation via its role in regulating the phosphorylation of the C-terminal domain (CTD) of the large subunit of RNA polymerase II (POLR2A).

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Cyclin-K (CCNK), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
