Reconstitution
Centrifuge vial prior to reconstitution. Reconstitute to 100ug/ml by adding 100ul ddH2O.

Care should be taken during reconstitution as the protein may appear as a film at the bottom of the vial. Lab recommends that the vial is gently mixed after reconstitution. Do not vortex.
Preparation and Storage
Prior to reconstitution store at -70 degree C. Following reconstitution store at -80 degree C.

This product should be stored undiluted.

Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the protein. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.

Related Product Information for CCL17 recombinant protein
Recombinant Human CCL17

CCL17 also known as TARC and SCYA17 is a C-C chemokine highly expressed by the thymus and other cell types, including fibroblasts (Li et al. 2019). CCL17 induces and enhances a broad spectrum of immune reactions, including some contact hypersensitivity reactions, allograft rejections, inflammatory bowel disease, atopic dermatitis and atherosclerosis (Scheu et al. 2017). Therapeutic use of antibodies to neutralize CCL17 can block influx of T cells and ameliorate the impact of various diseases (Teplyakov et al. 2017). Upregulation of CCL17 has been reported in breast cancer, and predicts a decrease in overall survival for patients with breast cancer (Li et al. 2019).

This recombinant Human CCL17 can be used to create a standard curve in a sandwich ELISA with purified Mouse anti Human CCL17 antibody, clone I02-2A4 as the capture antibody and biotinylated Mouse anti Human CCL17 antibody, clone I11-2A1 as the detection antibody.

NCBI Description

This antimicrobial gene is one of several Cys-Cys (CC) cytokine genes clustered on the q arm of chromosome 16. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The CC cytokines are proteins characterized by two adjacent cysteines. The cytokine encoded by this gene displays chemotactic activity for T lymphocytes, but not monocytes or granulocytes. The product of this gene binds to chemokine receptors CCR4 and CCR8. This chemokine plays important roles in T cell development in thymus as well as in trafficking and activation of mature T cells. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2014]

Uniprot Description

CCL17: Chemotactic factor for T-lymphocytes but not monocytes or granulocytes. May play a role in T-cell development in thymus and in trafficking and activation of mature T-cells. Binds to CCR4. Belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family.

Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 16q13

Cellular Component: extracellular space; extracellular region

Molecular Function: CCR4 chemokine receptor binding; chemokine activity; receptor binding

Biological Process: G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; cell-cell signaling; multicellular organismal development; immune response; negative regulation of myoblast differentiation; inflammatory response; chemotaxis

Product Notes

The CCL17 ccl17 (Catalog #AAA226084) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's CCL17 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CCL17 ccl17 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CCL17, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
