Related Product Information for CCL1 recombinant protein
CCL1 (chemokine C-C motif ligand 1) is a small glycoprotein secreted by activated T cells that belongs to a family inflammatory cytokines known as chemokines. CCL1 attracts monocytes, NK cells, and immature B cells and dendritic cells by interacting with a cell surface chemokine receptor called CCR8. unlike the other members of the C-C family, CCL1 does not induce chemotaxis in natural killer (NK) cells. Recombinant human CCL1 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E Coli and purified by conventional chromatography, after refolding of the isolated inclusion bodies in a renaturation buffer.

NCBI Description

This antimicrobial gene is one of several chemokine genes clustered on the q-arm of chromosome 17. Chemokines form a superfamily of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The superfamily is divided into four subfamilies based on the arrangement of the N-terminal cysteine residues of the mature peptide. This chemokine, a member of the CC subfamily, is secreted by activated T cells and displays chemotactic activity for monocytes but not for neutrophils. It binds to the chemokine (C-C motif) receptor 8. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2014]

Uniprot Description

Cytokine that is chemotactic for monocytes but not for neutrophils. Binds to CCR8.

Product Notes

The CCL1 ccl1 (Catalog #AAA203987) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The tag for this protein is His-tag. AAA Biotech's CCL1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CCL1 ccl1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MGSSHHHHHH SSGLVPRGSH MKSMQVPFSR CCFSFAEQEI PLRAILCYRN TSSICSNEGL IFKLKRGKEA CALDTVGWVQ RHRKMLRHCP SKRK. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CCL1, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
