Canine Adenylyl Cyclase Associated Protein 1 ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: CAP1 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a Polyclonal anti-CAP1 antibody and an CAP1-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with CAP1-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the CAP1 concentration since CAP1 from samples and CAP1-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-CAP1 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by CAP1 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind CAP1-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The CAP1 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is related to the S. cerevisiae CAP protein, which is involved in the cyclic AMP pathway. The human protein is able to interact with other molecules of the same protein, as well as with CAP2 and actin. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified. Product Notes
The Canine CAP1 cap1 (Catalog #AAA752467) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA752467 ELISA Kit recognizes Canine CAP1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Adenylyl Cyclase Associated Protein 1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
