A DNA sequence encoding the human CADM2 (NP_001161147.1)(Gly30-Asp335) was expressed with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.

Preparation and Storage
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. Store it under sterile conditions at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
In general, recombinant proteins are provided as lyophilized powder which are shipped at ambient temperature. Bulk packages of recombinant proteins are provided as frozen liquid.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the synaptic cell adhesion molecule 1 (SynCAM) family which belongs to the immunoglobulin (Ig) superfamily. The encoded protein has three Ig-like domains and a cytosolic protein 4.1 binding site near the C-terminus. Proteins belonging to the protein 4.1 family crosslink spectrin and interact with other cytoskeletal proteins. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. Important for synapse organization, providing regulated trans-synaptic adhesion. Preferentially binds to oligodendrocytes. Belongs to the nectin family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
