Note
C7510-11 is soluble in acidic buffer, 4mg/ml, but is very difficult to dissolve in neutral buffer. To dissolve in neutral buffer, dissolve in 0.01M acetic acid at 4mg/ml, then add into neutral buffer (final Sodium chloride concentration should be 0.15-0.2M) Forms stable gel in neutral buffer and can be used as a subsrate for assaying collagenase acitvity by collagen-gel method.
Preparation and Storage
Store at -20 degree C in the dark. The collagen solution is very stable in acidic solution at -20 degree C but will gradually degrade under neutral conditions.
