Related Product Information for PTPRT/LAR elisa kit
Intended Uses: This sandwich kit is for the accurate quantitative detection of Bovine Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase Receptor Type T (also known as PTPRT/LAR) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, cell lysates, tissue homogenates.

Principles of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Bovine PTPRT/LAR antibody. PTPRT/LAR present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Bovine PTPRT/LAR Antibody is added and binds to PTPRT/LAR in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated PTPRT/LAR antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Bovine PTPRT/LAR. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. PTPs are known to be signaling molecules that regulate a variety of cellular processes including cell growth, differentiation, mitotic cycle, and oncogenic transformation. This PTP possesses an extracellular region, a single transmembrane region, and two tandem intracellular catalytic domains, and thus represents a receptor-type PTP. The extracellular region contains a meprin-A5 antigen-PTP (MAM) domain, Ig-like and fibronectin type III-like repeats. The protein domain structure and the expression pattern of the mouse counterpart of this PTP suggest its roles in both signal transduction and cellular adhesion in the central nervous system. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene, which encode distinct proteins, have been reported. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

May be involved in both signal transduction and cellular adhesion in the CNS.

Product Notes

The Bovine PTPRT/LAR ptprt (Catalog #AAA165406) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA165406 ELISA Kit recognizes Bovine PTPRT/LAR. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase Receptor Type T, PTPRT/LAR, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
