Bovine Amyloid beta A4 precursor protein-binding family A member 1 (APBA1) ELISA Kit
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the X11 protein family. It is a neuronal adapter protein that interacts with the Alzheimer's disease amyloid precursor protein (APP). It stabilizes APP and inhibits production of proteolytic APP fragments including the A beta peptide that is deposited in the brains of Alzheimer's disease patients. This gene product is believed to be involved in signal transduction processes. It is also regarded as a putative vesicular trafficking protein in the brain that can form a complex with the potential to couple synaptic vesicle exocytosis to neuronal cell adhesion. Uniprot Description
APBA1: Putative function in synaptic vesicle exocytosis by binding to Munc18-1, an essential component of the synaptic vesicle exocytotic machinery. May modulate processing of the beta- amyloid precursor protein (APP) and hence formation of beta-APP.

Product Notes
The Bovine APBA1 apba1 (Catalog #AAA7208084) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7208084 ELISA Kit recognizes Bovine APBA1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Amyloid beta A4 precursor protein-binding family A member 1 (APBA1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
