Principle of the Assay||This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. Anti-Human BMPR-1Aantibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated anti-Human BMPR-1A antibody was used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently, and wash with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the Human BMPR-1A amount of sample captured in plate. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration of Human BMPR-1Acan be calculated.

NCBI Description

The bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) receptors are a family of transmembrane serine/threonine kinases that include the type I receptors BMPR1A and BMPR1B and the type II receptor BMPR2. These receptors are also closely related to the activin receptors, ACVR1 and ACVR2. The ligands of these receptors are members of the TGF-beta superfamily. TGF-betas and activins transduce their signals through the formation of heteromeric complexes with 2 different types of serine (threonine) kinase receptors: type I receptors of about 50-55 kD and type II receptors of about 70-80 kD. Type II receptors bind ligands in the absence of type I receptors, but they require their respective type I receptors for signaling, whereas type I receptors require their respective type II receptors for ligand binding. Uniprot Description

BMPR1A: a serine/threonine-protein kinase receptor for Bone morphogenetic protein-2 and -4 (BMP-2 and BMP-4). Defects in BMPR1A are a cause of juvenile polyposis syndrome (JPS) and Cowden disease (CD), a cancer syndrome characterized by multiple hamartomas and by a high risk for breast, thyroid and endometriel cancers.

Product Notes

The Human BMPR1A bmpr1a (Catalog #AAA760646) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA760646 ELISA Kit recognizes Human BMPR1A. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Bone morphogenetic protein receptor type-1A, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
