NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the phosducin-like protein family and is a putative modulator of heterotrimeric G proteins. The protein shares extensive amino acid sequence homology with phosducin. Members of the phosducin-like protein family have been shown to bind to the beta-gamma subunits of G proteins. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

PDCL3: Modulates the activation of caspases during apoptosis. Is a substrate for Orgyia pseudotsugata multicapsid polyhedrosis virus (OpMNPV) IAP-mediated ubiquitination. Belongs to the phosducin family.

Product Notes

The PDCL3 pdcl3 (Catalog #AAA154021) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's PDCL3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Blocking (BL). The peptide is used for blocking the activity of PDCL3 Antibody. It usually blocks the antibody activity completely by incubating the peptide with equal volume of antibody for 30 min at 37 degree C. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PDCL3 pdcl3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PDCL3, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
