866
Cellular Location
Cytoplasm, cytosol. Nucleus. Note: Shuttles between the nucleus and the cytosol Export to the cytosol depends on the interaction with DTX3L (By similarity). Localizes at sites of DNA damage in a PARP1-dependent manner (By similarity).
Tissue Location
Highly expressed in the thymus and intestine.
Preparation and Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 degree C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20 degree C.
Related Product Information for Parp9 blocking peptide
In concert with DTX3L plays a role in PARP1-dependent DNA damage repair. PARP1-dependent PARP9/BAL1-DTX3L-mediated ubiquitination promotes the rapid and specific recruitment of 53BP1/TP53BP1, UIMC1/RAP80, and BRCA1 to DNA damage sites. Involved in inducing the expression of IFN-gamma-responsive genes (By similarity).

Uniprot Description

PARP9: Involved in inducing the expression of IFN-gamma- responsive genes. Overexpressed at significantly higher levels in fatal high-risk diffuse large B-cell lymphomas (DLB-CL) compared to cured low-risk tumors. Overexpression in B-cell lymphoma transfectants may promote malignant B-cell migration. May therefore be involved in promoting B-cell migration and dissemination of high-risk DLB-CL tumors. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: EC 2.4.2.30; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Transferase; Cell adhesion

Cellular Component: cytoplasm; membrane; mitochondrion; nucleoplasm; nucleus

Molecular Function: NAD+ ADP-ribosyltransferase activity

Biological Process: double-strand break repair

Product Notes

The Parp9 parp9 (Catalog #AAA9218926) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Parp9, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
