FADD (S191) Blocking Peptide | Fadd blocking peptide

Phospho-mouse FADD(S191) Antibody Blocking peptide

Gene Names
Fadd; Mort1/FADD
Synonyms
FADD (S191); Phospho-mouse FADD(S191) Antibody Blocking peptide; FAS-associated death domain protein; FAS-associating death domain-containing protein; Mediator of receptor induced toxicity; Protein FADD; Fadd; Mort1; Fadd blocking peptide
Ordering
Specificity
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody was selected from the region of human Mouse Phospho-FADD-S191. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Form/Format
The synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml deionized water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.
Sequence Length
205
Preparation and Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 degree C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20 degree C.
Related Product Information for Fadd blocking peptide
Apoptotic adaptor molecule that recruits caspase-8 or caspase-10 to the activated Fas (CD95) or TNFR-1 receptors. The resulting aggregate called the death-inducing signaling complex (DISC) performs caspase-8 proteolytic activation. Active caspase-8 initiates the subsequent cascade of caspases mediating apoptosis (By similarity). Involved in interferon-mediated antiviral immune response, playing a role in the positive regulation of interferon signaling (By similarity).

Uniprot Description

FADD: an adaptor molecule that mediates apoptosis. Recruited through its C-terminal death domain by Fas-receptor, tumor necrosis factor receptor, TNFRSF25, and TRAIL-receptor, participating in the death signaling initiated by these receptors. Interaction with the receptors unmasks the N-terminal effector domain of this protein, which recruits caspase-8, and thereby activates the cysteine protease cascade. Knockout studies in mice also suggest the importance of this protein in early T cell development.

Product Notes

The Fadd fadd (Catalog #AAA9225019) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FADD (S191), Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
