EVI5 blocking peptide

EVI5 Antibody (Center) Blocking peptide

Gene Names
EVI5; NB4S; EVI-5
Synonyms
EVI5; EVI5 Antibody (Center) Blocking peptide; Ecotropic viral integration site 5 protein homolog; EVI-5; Neuroblastoma stage 4S gene protein; NB4S; EVI5 blocking peptide
Ordering
Specificity
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody was selected from the Center region of human EVI5. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Form/Format
Synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml DI water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.
Sequence Length
810
Cellular Location
Nucleus. Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, microtubule organizing center, centrosome. Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, spindle. Note: Associates with the mitotic spindle through anaphase and remains within the midzone and midbody until completion of cytokinesis
Tissue Location
Expressed in various cell lines (at protein level). Expressed in a wide range of tissues including brain and adrenal.
Preparation and Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 degree C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20 degree C.
Related Product Information for EVI5 blocking peptide
Functions as a regulator of cell cycle progression by stabilizing the FBXO5 protein and promoting cyclin-A accumulation during interphase. May play a role in cytokinesis.

Uniprot Description

EVI5: Functions as a regulator of cell cycle progression by stabilizing the FBXO5 protein and promoting cyclin-A accumulation during interphase. May play a role in cytokinesis. A chromosomal aberration involving EVI5 is found is a patient with stage 4S neuroblastoma. Translocation t(1;10)(p22;q21) that forms a EVI5-TRNG10 fusion protein. TRNG10 is a probable structural transcript which is normally not translated.

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1p22.1

Cellular Component: cytosol; endomembrane system; Golgi apparatus; intracellular membrane-bound organelle

Molecular Function: GTPase activator activity; protein binding; Rab GTPase binding

Biological Process: cell proliferation; intracellular protein transport; multicellular organismal development; regulation of vesicle fusion; retrograde transport, endosome to Golgi

Product Notes

The EVI5 evi5 (Catalog #AAA9228055) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "EVI5, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
