Uniprot Description

P130Cas: a docking protein containing multiple protein-protein interaction domains. Plays a central coordinating role for tyrosine-kinase-based signaling related to cell adhesion. Implicated in induction of cell migration. The amino-terminal SH3 domain regulates its interaction with focal adhesion kinase (FAK) and the FAK-related kinase PYK2 and also with tyrosine phosphatases PTP-1B and PTP-PEST. Overexpression confers antiestrogen resistance on breast cancer cells.

Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Adaptor/scaffold

Cellular Component: actin cytoskeleton; cytoplasm; focal adhesion; lamellipodium; nucleolus; plasma membrane; ruffle

Molecular Function: protein binding; protein domain specific binding; protein kinase binding

Biological Process: actin cytoskeleton organization and biogenesis; actin filament organization; antigen receptor-mediated signaling pathway; B cell receptor signaling pathway; cell migration; epidermal growth factor receptor signaling pathway; G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; hepatocyte growth factor receptor signaling pathway; insulin receptor signaling pathway; integrin-mediated signaling pathway; nerve growth factor receptor signaling pathway; platelet-derived growth factor receptor signaling pathway; positive regulation of cell migration; vascular endothelial growth factor receptor signaling pathway

Product Notes

The Bcar1 bcar1 (Catalog #AAA9229062) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Bcar1, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
