Preparation and Storage
Storage: Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Store at 2-8 degree C for one month. Aliquot and store at -80 degree C for 12 months.
Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate of the targetprotein. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation andprecipitation were observed. The loss of this protein is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

NCBI Description

BCL9 is associated with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. It may be a target of translocation in B-cell malignancies with abnormalities of 1q21. Its function is unknown. The overexpression of BCL9 may be of pathogenic significance in B-cell malignancies. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Bcl-9: Involved in signal transduction through the Wnt pathway. Promotes beta-catenin's transcriptional activity. A chromosomal aberration involving BCL9 is found in a patient with precusor B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Translocation t(1;14)(q21;q32). This translocation leaves the coding region intact, but may have pathogenic effects due to alterations in the expression level of BCL9. Several cases of translocations within the 3'-UTR of BCL9 have been found in B-cell malignancies. Belongs to the BCL9 family.

Protein type: Transcription factor; Oncoprotein

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1q21

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; Golgi apparatus; cis-Golgi network

Molecular Function: protein binding; beta-catenin binding

Biological Process: regulation of transforming growth factor beta receptor signaling pathway; somatic stem cell maintenance; myotube differentiation involved in skeletal muscle regeneration; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; Wnt receptor signaling pathway through beta-catenin

Product Notes

The Bcl9 bcl9 (Catalog #AAA2030533) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Host: E Coli Source: Prokaryotic expression and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's B-Cell CLL/Lymphoma 9 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Bcl9 bcl9 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: The target protein is fused with two N-terminal Tags, His-tag and T7-tag, its sequence is listed below.

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "B-Cell CLL/Lymphoma 9, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
