Branched Chain Aminotransferase 2 Recombinant Protein | BCAT2 recombinant protein
Recombinant Branched Chain Aminotransferase 2, Mitochondrial (BCAT2)
Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate of the target protein. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss of this protein is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a branched chain aminotransferase found in mitochondria. The encoded protein forms a dimer that catalyzes the first step in the production of the branched chain amino acids leucine, isoleucine, and valine. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009]
Uniprot Description
BCAT2: Catalyzes the first reaction in the catabolism of the essential branched chain amino acids leucine, isoleucine, and valine. May also function as a transporter of branched chain alpha-keto acids. Belongs to the class-IV pyridoxal-phosphate-dependent aminotransferase family. Homodimer. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Amino Acid Metabolism - valine, leucine and isoleucine biosynthesis; Amino Acid Metabolism - valine, leucine and isoleucine degradation; Cofactor and Vitamin Metabolism - pantothenate and CoA biosynthesis; EC 2.6.1.42; Mitochondrial; Transferase

Product Notes
The BCAT2 bcat2 (Catalog #AAA2034420) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Recombinant Branched Chain Aminotransferase 2, Mitochondrial (BCAT2) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Branched Chain Aminotransferase 2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the BCAT2 bcat2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Branched Chain Aminotransferase 2, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
